Recovering from flu = lots of free time

Well, I’ve been sick a lot this semester as you guys have inevitably noticed, butlying in bed all day has its advantages: it gives me a chance to surf the internet and find random things.

Take for instance this software that allows me to add RSS feeds to my iPod, and then automatically syncs every single one of them. I was amazed by this as I was searching Wired News, but then I read the last line.

Like everything cool, it only works with a Mac.

Anxious blogger

My work email account (which share with 3 other people) is on many list serves that people before me joined. Lately my inbox has been flooded with emails from a blogger in a ploy to get people to read and respond to his blog. the blog, www.bradblog.com, focuses on political issues and his personal rants about political goings on. He has a decent readership, but I thought it was interesting that he felt the need to use a list serv to make people aware of his posts instead of just building his community and developing a loyal reader base.

Online Communities Treasure Hunt!

In the reading for the class tomorrow, a book by one of the UNC JOMC faculty is mentioned. Can you find that book and name that person. Be sure to look at the end of the chapters in the further readings. The index is not helpful. You’ll need to read the chapters.
It may not be someone who you might immediately expect.
