N and O learning from N and R?

Filed under: Blogging, We the Media

News and Observer Public Editor Ted Vaden, whose blog entry sparked the Melanie Sills blog entry that sparked Jay Rosen’s comments, writes again. This time in his column called Blogs challenge newspaper standards, Vaden writes in a column — so no comments available there — about the contrasts in standards — say Journalistic Standards v Bloggers various Standards? — as he muses at what journalists do and what bloggers do? Are bloggers uniform enough for that to be a serious discussion? Are journalists?

Update: Ted’s column is now on the N and O blogs and will accept comments (and trackbacks).

Update: Melanie Sills responds to Jay Rosen and bloggers in a new post Frame vs Filter.
