Sourcing Bloggers (in N and R)
Ed Cone pointed me to this article by News and Record Editor John Robinson, Sourcing, verification, bloggers and the Times. JR mentions but avoids the Jay Rosen - Melanie Sill discussion (at NandO and beyond) and instead muses on how to, when to and whether to source bloggers (some who he knows and trusts) . Oddly enough, the N and R had just run an unsourced story from the NYTimes. What it that story had come from Ed Cone or blogging Council Member Sandy Carmany? JR offers himself (and us) a complex question, well posed and deeper that just on the surface.
