Looking forward to traveling over to Greensboro to visit with Ed Cone and company and to take part in the Converge South 2005 Conference. I even signed up for dinner with Dave Winer who is always a lively conversationalist. Should be a blast.

Who should I go to dinner with Ed Cone, or Dave Winer? Who would you recommend?

I chose Dave, because there is a chance that I’ll get to see Ed more often. Both guys are thoughtful and interesting.
Ed’s experience is both national and local (to G’boro) as a writer and as an influence in G’boro. You might be interested in his latest CIO Insight article on corporate blogs (for example) and in his blog.
Dave is both a writer and a software guy. Expect to hear a lot about OMPL from Dave — see his blog for a feel of what he’s up to.
